Letter from J. R. Ackerley to John Betjeman, July 15, 1965
Part of a collection of letters to John Betjeman from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener, and open homosexual). Ackerley talks about how busy he has been lately, and how he keeps forgetting to reply to letters he has received. He invites Betjeman to visit him next time he passes through Putney as he does not live that far from Betjeman's church. Ackerley also gives an update about a couple of their friends, including author Gerald Cobb.
