Coralroot

Spotted coralroot is a North American coralroot orchid flower with a red or brown stem. There are no leaves and no photosynthetic green tissues, and the stems bear dark red scales and intricate orchid flowers. (Family: orchidaceae; binomial name: corallorhiza maculata).
