Marionette - No. 39

The Marionette is a prison newsletter made by prisoners for prisoners and the general public to spread awareness of the conditions prisons and in Marion Penitentiary, Illinois in particular. Later joined with Prison News Service (PNS) focused on political trials, repressive abuses of imprisonment and the resistance to such oppression.

Edited by Bill Dunne. Article topics include: Five years of folly, Soviet sell-out?, Marion kills again, Marionnotes, Air holes and bean holes (by F. Lee Bubba), Health issues at Marion (by Tim Blunk). (Note: p. 6-7 is a double page spread). PNS no. 15, September-October 1988.
