Part of a collection of letters to John Betjeman from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener, and open homosexual). Ackerley tells Betjeman that he wished he sent him more of his poems as The Listener does not only publish "serious" works. He also invites him to visit him at his new office in London.
