White-tailed deer : fawn
PublicClose-up view of a deer fawn lying down on grass and leaves. Colour in winter greyish-brown; underparts white; tail long and bushy. Inhabits the Kootenay-Columbia system north to Tete Jaune Cache and west to Oliver, Penticton and Armstrong. (Family: cervidae; binomial name: odocoileus virginianus).
