- Saturday, Dec 3 5 To J.F. for advice Took Jenny to Curzon House and settled up. Then to station & saw her off. Saw Sherrick at Dorchester (with Pamela Boscomb who sympathised with me as Charles ['] brother and had tried to save Peggy from marrying her him ) who was sensible and helpful. Wrote to N.N. a long letter indicating that P.M. had deliberately tried to force a marriage by blackmail. Dinner at Ward & Dorothy: Janet present looking 35 and talking nonsense. Allan from Oxford. We talked Personal Relation scheme until late. Welcome letter from Hillgarth: money has arrived, he has seen the Deyá people, is sending the manuscript, all quiet, food not too bad though bread coarse. And letters from Juan, Anita, Magdalena, Gelat.
