Telegram from Kathleen Raine to John Betjeman, [October 10, 1972]
Correspondence between John Betjeman and Kathleen Raine. Raine was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry in 1992. In addition to poetry she completed scholarly work on William Blake and W. B. Yeats, and co-founded the Temenos literary journal and later the Temenos Academy of Integral Studies. In this telegram Raine congratulates Betjeman on becoming England's Poet Laureate.
