At barbers had shave, haircut, singe, shampoo, quinine friction, face-massage – felt fine. Alan: took last chapter's of Year of Damage . Honor came & Gordon. Honor stopped the night. Business about Michael Roberts broadcast: query – why did Maisie (or did she?) cut out two mentions of Laura's name. Was it anti-nepotic? Worked until 2 o clock 2.45
