A series of documentary kinescopes with filmed inserts dealing with the sea and sea life. Hosted by Ian McTaggart-Cowan. Dr. Cowan introduced the sea animals who could bury themselves in sand for entire life. The sand protects those animals from fishes in high tides and birds in low tides. He showed the top shell sea snail, the horse clam and the parasite in their shells: pea crab, geoducks (the largest pacific clam) and their siphon system, cockle clam, butter clam, and jackknife clam. He also showed other sea creatures on the sand habitat including the sea worms and sand shrimps.
