- Tuesday May 12 Eyes very tired. Have reached galley 76 in Epilogue (3/4 of the way) and done a little Convalescent Conversations . Burdekin book came. Roses at their best. No sign of any pinks yet, & few carnations. Walked round the village via stepping-stones & Son Bujosa. The stepping-stones were under water but Solomon rushed bravely over. Boira & flies. Said goodbye to Schw & Str. who are going to Switzerland for ten days. Made out money-prospects. This T.E. business has made a lot of difference to them.
