A 19th-century religious monthly periodical in the United Kingdom. Established in 1860 and edited by Norman Macleod until his death in 1872 when his brother Donald Maclead took over as editor. Contains religious materials along with fiction and non-fiction articles and illustrations aimed at an audience of all ages. Merged with: Sunday magazine; to form: Good words and Sunday magazine.
