• Aug 5 Thursday Really hot day. Finished draft of chapter 3 of Belisarius (31 pages) and going over it. Laura on Letter book . Stalking rabbits in second field: got eight shots in. Honor came for the night: has resigned her job at the London Press Exchange as from the 17th.* Alix to Reading about the bacteriological problem in Yorkshire where tubercular germs have defied pasteurizing of milk. * was persuaded to resume it.
