The diary of Francis Dickens, son of novelist Charles Dickens, written when he was a member of the North-West Mounted Police during the Battle of Fort Pitt or North West Rebellion of 1885 in Saskatchewan. An important document of events of the siege that led to the evacuation of the mounted police from the fort.
