• Dec 18 Sunday Freezing hard. All energies spent in keeping up fires. Dictionary , a game of Russian billiards with 2 Montauban men. After supper we sat round the fire with a communal blanket round our backs. Dorothy suffers greatly from cold in the chapel. Went over typed chapters of Ghost .
