Letter from Johnny Cash to Saul Holiff, 28 April 1974

Public

Letter from Johnny Cash to Saul Holiff about the forthcoming publication of his autobiography "Man in Black", in which Holiff is mentioned. He also refers to an essay on Moses that Holiff sent him, which he had written for a university course in religious studies. He asks about Holiff's religious beliefs and extends an invitation for the Holiff family to visit Cinnamon Hill, the Cash estate in Jamaica. The letter is dated 28 April 1974. But since the book was published in 1975, and Holiff responds to it in a letter dated 20 May 1975, the actual date created must be 28 April 1975.
