A series of documentary kinescopes with filmed inserts dealing with the sea and sea life. Hosted by Ian McTaggart-Cowan. This is the first part of a science tv series. Dr. Cowan introduced different theories about the origin of earth. He also explained a hypothesis of the origin of life: in the very beginning, there were simple chemicals, they produced amino acids that eventually became the proteins necessary to create single cells. And the single cells evolved as plants and animals.
