- Aug 30 1937 8 pages of Smuggler Searched for Solace everywhere. Police, pubs, private houses, post office. In the end at 10 o'clock someone rang up & we got her back hungry & dazed. Various letters. Heavy day with thunder. Showed the dentist my tooth: which is slow in emerging from the gum. Went over some more of letter book with Laura. 3 pages of Chapter VII of Belisarius . Started register of letters
