- Sept 4 Friday. Troy all morning. Afternoon bought a table (25/-), 6 tumblers 4/- each, ordered sofa cushions – Tottenham Court Road district. It showered all day, so we did not go to the Caledonian Market with James Harry Kemp as arranged. Depressing news of the fall of Irun & arrival of German & Italian planes for the rebels. In the evening finished checking Troy [Chapter?] 6, the end. At night long walk with Laura down Oxford Street etc exploring. Another odd letter fron Savage.
