- Sept 3 Saturday Norman's wedding day: God help him! (Ill-omened cries of screech-owl last night reminded us of him). Lovely sun. Proofs of my Collected Poems Laura doing her own proofs & a long letter to Dent about Indexing. Stacking logs in the shed. Leonie is a success. Margaret greatly distressed by Catherine Norman affair, has not yet made up her mind to come to us.
