Part of a collection of letters to John Betjeman from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener, and open homosexual). Ackerley invites Betjeman to lunch the next time he is in town, and asks whether he has any poem he can use for The Listener.
