Chinese bell liberated during the Boxer Rebellion
PublicThe Chinese iron bell was presented to the City of Victoria by Lieutenant William B. Macdonald of H.M.S. Pique. Cast in 1627, the bell was mounted at Beacon Hill Park in 1904. The bell was subsequently moved inside the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in 1989. Catalogue number: HP008618; Association number: 193501-001.
