- Sept 1 Wednesday. 7 pages Smuggler 4 pages Belisarius Laura had a bad night: she slept in afternoon, after working on Letter Book . Letter from Deyá with photographs of the children & of Magdalena: all well. Harry returned. Decided to stay in England in spite of Income-tax. Laura not well: went to bed. Talked to me & Harry about Inside People etc. after supper. Attempt to torpedo the Havoc .
