B.C. Legislative Buildings: Restorations and Renovations [Project: 246-06-78/312-01-79]
PublicProject material consists of three large folders of architectural drawings and other material; and one large rolled drawing pertaining to a series of renovations and restorations to the British Columbia Parliament Buildings in Victoria B.C. Material largely pertains to restorations to the dome and second floor; the Speaker’s Chair and second floor rooms, including committee rooms; and a proposed design for a new Legislative Dining Room and skylight. Included are floor plans; roof plans; site plans; section drawings; elevations; perspective drawings; detail drawings; colour swatches and other colour design material; schedules; designs for mouldings, millwork, doors, and light fixtures; a before photograph of the Legislative Chamber; furniture plans; sketches; and other material produced at various stages of the design process.
