A pencil illustration of a soldier smoking and leaning against the railing of a ship during Atlantic Crossing. Dated Sept.1.18 and titled "Crossing". From the sketchbook of William W. Duncan. Lt. Duncan served with the Canadian Infantry, "2" Company, 16th Battalion, 2nd Division in France, Belgium and Germany in World War I.
