- Sat Oct 31st Many more reviews of Antigua : all favourable except News Chronicle , and one Laodicean one in Times Lit.Supp. Sent them to Harrison Smith. My new suit came at last. Letter from Mallik to L & me: begging to see us. Korda phoned: would not have scenario fixed until middle of next week: had thought Jenny charming – danced well. Sent Korda verse of Catullus, for Claudius to read to Messalina, dug out of Catullus. Jenny has another small film part at Denham. Alan was with us most of today. A walk in the rain with Laura round by London University. Rang up Dorothy for Spanish news: which continues to be encouraging. Boil not yet finished with. I have put on too much weight.
