Traditional Chinese dance
PublicShows two dancers of Chinese Girls Drill Team with costumes and fans performing Chinese fan dance on the street in Vancouver circa 1950. As one of many forms of traditional folk dances, fan dances have been preserved to share the stories and beauty of Chinese culture. Fan dances performed at ceremonies and Chinese celebrations (such as the Chinese New Year). Chinese Fan Dances are generally divided into folk dances and classical dances.
