PublicPart of a collection of letters to John Betjeman from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener, and open homosexual). Ackerley writes Betjeman that he will return to The Listener in September to help with staff difficulties. He asks for a poem and tells him not to reply unless it includes one.
