Plan No. 4 of the Nass River Indian Reserve, Coast District
Surveyed by W.S. Jemmett, 1886; and F.A. Devereux, 1890-1891. [Signed by P. O'Reilly, Indian Reserve Commissioner, no date.] [Approved by F.G. Vernon, Chief Commissioner of Lands and Works, 4 May, 1892.] Based upon the district name in the plan title, this land was originally part of Coast Land District. Map showing several Reserves along the Nass River and Iceberg Bay including Reserve No. 12; Reserve No. 13 (Red Cliff); Reserve No. 14 and No. 14A (Kincolith); and an inset map showing Reserve No. 15 (Kinnamax) and Reserve No. 16 (Talahaat) on the Kinnamax River where it feeds into Quinamass Bay and Steamers Pass (note that the names of Reserves No. 15 and 16 are somewhat crossed out on the map and have "Nisga'a" next to them. Land cover and features described on the map include graves, cliffs, villages, soil types, Nanoux Creek, posts, a cannery, and Mission Mill Creek.
