  • Oct 22 Sat David answered very nicely both to me & Laura. He wants to join the C.U. Aviation squadron. Finished the membrillo . A large part of yesterday & today went to a letter to the Times. L.Supp about L's review. (They said they would publish a correction of factual statement.) Eventually I destroyed it & Laura wrote herself shortly & firmly cancelling the subscription, after 10 years. Dictionary (Laura on Ghost , Aristotle , David (R's) Furniture , Rimbaud .) Went to Montauban trying to get someone to replace Yvonne, forbidden to work. No luck. Started a poem about Habit . Fall of Canton.
