- March 31 Sunday Lovely weather still. Sent Sanders back Vol I. of Moll Flanders ordered by mistake for missing Vol II. Also ordered Philostratus and Propertius in Loeb. Wrote to Korda. To Margarita in the morning: Laura's last two dresses of the Christmas silks arranged. Cut off pods of stocks. Cuttings of rough mimosa from Can Caballo. Tea with Emmerich. Unpleasant letter from Jenny about her career. All busy. Laura, Carl & I getting Focus revised & typed for Esperanza tomorrow. Letter also from Sergeant Townsend with photograph. Worked until 3 a.m., Karl stopping the night.
