Map showing America, the eastern Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the British Isles, France, Spain and West Africa with MS numbering of (i) Valparaiso; (ii) Callao; and (iii) Panama and Esquimalt, Vancouver Island. Scale: 1 inch to 800 miles (calculated). Originally enclosed with a memorandum dated 10 February 1859, initialled by '[?J].B.', on depot hulks for the Pacific Squadron at Callao and Valparaiso, and on moving the Admiral's Headquarters from Valparaiso to Panama, following Admiral Bayne's request for a depot at Vancouver Island.
