Victor E. Wong and comrades in Manitoba and India

2 group photographs of Canadian soldiers included Victor Wong. The top photo shows soldiers in training at Camp Shilo, Manitoba in 1944 and the other one was taken in Poona, India. During the World War II, more than 600 Chinese Canadians volunteered to fight for Canada. They became part of an elite unit known as the Special Force 136 of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and the South East Asia Combat (SEAC) under Lord Mountbatten.
