PublicABSTRACT: Interviewee: RAdm Nigel Brodeur 31 Oct 07 Interviewer: Chris Perry Subject: Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) in the Cold War Admiral Brodeur briefly describes his training and experience as a Weapons Officer. He describes his time on HMCS Kootenay tracking a Soviet Foxtrot submarine during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Goes on to discuss ASW in general, touching on weapons, screen and consort tactics, SOS US and responses to Soviet technological advances.
