  • Sept 2 Wednesday Saw David & Sam off to Harlech, after helping tidy up Maisie's flat. With Jenny to settle her in Curzon House & discuss the whole financial problem. Lunch at Mrs Cook's (American) near Leicester Square. Then shopping: shirts from Marshall & Snelgrove, Laura's shoes from Rayne's and at Little Gallery a tea service 37/6, a patchwork quilt £5.5, 6 sherry glasses at 4/ each, an ash chair 30/-, beads for Laura. Met Sterling for the 3rd time near Nottingham Place. Forgot to phone Karl who got alarmed: with him down Tott. Court road to eat modestly and see news reel: after visit from Glendinning fixing up Ant contract.
