Part of a collection of correspondence between Sir Herbert Read and Sir Michael Kemp Tippett (a pacifist and one of the leading British composers of the 20th century). In this letter Tippet apologizes to Read for not thanking him sooner for the poem Read wrote for his birthday and that was published by Faber & Faber.
