Transcript
  • Feb 26 Sunday Still slightly fluish: taking aconite-pills every now & then. More time with Laura on Left Heresy proofs. Started writing letter-preface to Bottrall's poems. Letters in answer to suggestion for a friendship protocol are coming in: a surprisingly petty-bourgeois one from James, good ones from Harry & George Buchanan. We had a talk at supper about names. Beryl was with Lucie & Mrs McCormack a Brown, Dorothy a Smith, Alan a Baker, Honor a Jones, Montague a Saunders. Laura called herself a Bailey & me a Gallagher, though I preferred White. She said Schuyler was a White.
