Maze, Randy: my Canadian Navy recollections (March 15, 2011)
PublicABSTRACT: The interview covers the beginning of Maze’s Naval Career, and then carries into the situation in East Timor, the referendum held by the UN and the results upset Indonesia. The Indonesian Army Invades East Timor and essentially destroys the country, which is when the Australian led U.N. Mission got involved to get the Indonesian Forces out of the Country and help rebuild and support the people and infrastructure. The HMCS PROTECTEUR was in charge of refuelling all of the naval vessels involved.
