Venus' Looking-glass (Triodanis perfoliata) illustration

A central unbranched stem featuring alternate leaves that clasp the stem. The leaves are green, scallop-edged and shell-shaped. The wheel-shaped violet-blue flowers emerge from the leaf axils and have five-lobed corollas.
