• Oct 18 Tuesday Dictionary all day: and got cross with David for playing Cambeluk with long, long pauses like chess. Dorothy having trouble in getting clay for sculpture: got pipe clay by mistake. Then there is a man in Montauban who digs wells & gets out clay: but he is never to be found. Very bright autumn weather but no frosts yet. Laura on Aristotle chiefly.
