Elsie Allan - First World War photograph album

Public

Album contains photographs taken during the First World War in Victoria and elsewhere in Canada. Places of note in Victoria include Beacon Hill Park, the Gorge Waterway, Government Street and Dallas Road. It is possible that the soldiers depicted are members of the Allen family. Harold Creagh and Philip Allen, who resided for a time at "Burdette House," a boarding house in Victoria, located at 951 Burdett Street, signed up with the 62nd Battery CFA. The provenance of the album and its connection to Elsie Allan, a former employee of UVic, is unknown.
