- Nov 2 Tuesday. Got Karl his opal ring for Marie , & a green paste ring for Mary Reeves . Caught train with much difficulty – Laura lost her gloves in the taxi – & to Highcroft by 12 o'clock. Parece que la mujer del queso ha bebido todo el vino de Xeres, secretamente sin decir nada: y hay otras porquerias tambien. Working all day at revision of two specimen chapters (Karl cross-copying). Todo muy frio con los de la casa. Alan came & walked with me to Cranleigh. Killed a cold.
