Interviewer: Roy, Reginald H. Interviewee: Molyneux, R. An interview/narrative of R. Molyneux's recollections of Major-General Pearkes. Mr. Molyneux was Pearkes's batman during World War I. Interview took place on December 11, 1965. ABSTRACT: Mr. R. Molyneux, 11 December 1965. 11pp. (N.B. This interview is at the beginning of Reel #10 before Pearkes Interview #18.) Molyneux_R_0230_01 First met Pearkes when he led a raid on the Germans in 1916/17. Pearkes used to walk along the edge of the trench; quite fearless. Molyneux became Pearkes' batman. Vimy Ridge, Passchendaele, where both he and Pearkes were wounded. A few comments on Pearkes, the soldier.
