Living Sea 24 (1958-02-23) : Pacific Island

A series of documentary kinescopes with filmed inserts dealing with the sea and sea life. Hosted by Ian McTaggart-Cowan. Dr. Cowan used Darwin’s theory to explain the creation of atolls. He introduced his trip to Wake Island, a coral atoll located in the western Pacific Ocean, and showed some specimens of different corals, sea urchins and killer clam. He recorded the sea creatures such as tropical fishes with different color and species during his skin diving venture. He also introduced the birds on this island.
