- Dec 27 Friday Porchada being put over Can Torrent portal mayor . Engineers surveying carretera . Took Margarita the Modista her gift bottle of anis. (Gelat's presents came from the big Palma mansion opposite the Grand Hotel). Laura reading the T.E. stuff. Cleared off all my remaining letters. Warm wind: no fires for the last four days. Moved the hibiscus to gardenia to shelter from winds. Torrent by Fábrica full of oranges blown down into it. Went over T.E. with Laura up to a point.
