Part of a collection of letters to Herbert Read from Joe Randolph "J. R." Ackerley (writer and literary editor of the BBC's weekly magazine The Listener). Read has written a personal letter to Siegfried Sassoon about the review and Ackerley has added a covering letter edited by the BBC's lawyers. Ackerley suspects the two letters will anger Sassoon even more.
