This report was prepared by the Prison Violence Project, Kingston, Ontario, March 15, 1994. Rudolf Martens, Chairperson. Contains statements from Kingston Penitentiary prisoner Jose Prates (506803C) about an incident on Sunday October 24, 1993 when he witnessed a fellow prisoner's (Robert "Tex" Gentiles) death. Also contains a chronology of what happened to Prates subsequently, and an analysis of the psychological and physical manipulation by prison staff to have Prates change his original statements.
