Western Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus) illustration
PublicThis illustration by Oldriska (Oluna) Ceska is of a branch of Western Thimbleberry. The red berries and some of the leaves are painted with watercolours with the remaining branch and leaves are a pencil sketch. The illustration on the card was used as the theme painting for "Plantae Occidentalis: 200 Years of Botanical Art in British Columbia - April 1979 to September 1980" and is Number 30 in that Exhibition. The painting was also used for the poster and invitations to the exhibition program.
