- Friday June 11 . Alix to Paris, Harry to Cambridge. Visit from Mrs Mockler: strange tales of Bish & her hold on Maisie. Saw Watt again after lunch. Then Malcolm Johnson of Doubleday: settled the Lawrence typographical difficulty: mentioned Dictionary to him. Met George Buchanan again – sherry at his flat – & then supper with Honor & Gordon at Barcelona. (Advertising experiences). We are writing another letter to D.T. Letter from Short – G. in Castle because of road – Dr & Priest denounced him also & got camion seized. Advises against coming there. * Renewed rebel attack on Bilbao.
