Jobs scarce. 12:45 Realized he couldn't be employed in a bank due to his name. 14:00 Let go at Eaton's due to crop failure. 15:05 Job at golf course. Then meatpackers. 17:15 1939: Canada's war involvement imminent 18:20 Joined the NPAM, under the army. 20:15 Became Golf Pro at Lynbrook near Moosejaw. 21:00 1940 decides to join air force.
