- Ap. 3 Wednesday. Spent whole morning on long letter to Jenny telling her that did not want her to take sides but that I had a side & pointing out lesson she was repeating which was wholly false. Protested against Charles , mentioned that I had spoken of her to Korda . Letter to Amy Graves . mentioning Jenny and speaking of German difficulties. Rearranged documents. It rained. Had headache all day, cleared up at 5: headache and weather. Cold again. Brassero Brasero . Wire from Constable in answer to Laura 's sent off in Palma saying would help pay publication of Epilogue if necessary: apparently they will publish if she helps. Gelat in considerable pain with infection, & will be in bed for some days. Sebastian's sister died today. To Fábrica late to order Focus proofs for tomorrow. Gave new brassero brasero -spoon & took old rickety one in exchange. At home repaired and polished up old one.
